Q: Why do SweetPea Candles smell so incredible?
A: Our candles smell so incredible because we purchase only the best quality fragrances available on the market. Most of our fragrance oils are even soy-based. Soy wax also has a much better scent throw than paraffin candles. All of our candles are hand-poured at very low temperatures, which allows us to use more fragrance oil than most other candles.

A: Soy wax produces about 90% less soot than paraffin wax. Soot from paraffin gets into your carpet, furniture & your lungs! SweetPea Candles are made from pesticide/herbicide-free soy beans. They are biodegradable, ecologically friendly, and don't contain petrochemicals. We make our soy candles with lead-free and zinc-free wicks (we use only cotton core wicking).

Testing and air chamber analysis by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has found a significant quantity of the following such as lead, acetone, tolulene, benzene, & more. The soot from these materials contain carcinogens, neurotoxins, and reproductive toxins. Soy wax contains no carcinogens!

A: The soy wax used in SweetPea Candles is grown locally & helps to support U.S. soybean farmers! The production and burning of soy wax candles can greatly benefit the American agricultural economy. If soy wax replaced common paraffin wax, an estimated 60 million pounds of soy beans would be required for annual candle production.

Q: Why do most candles burn down the center, leaving a tunnel of wasted wax around the jar?
A: Many candles have a tunnel down the center because they are using regular paraffin wax, cheap fragrance oil, and the wrong size wick. Here at Sweet Pea Candles, we have also tested dozens of wicks to assure the proper fit giving the best burn possible. This ensures the proper sized melt pool, which results in little to no wasted wax around the edges, and an even burn.
