Candle Burning Tips

SAFETY TIPS

1. Keep wick centered and trimmed to 1/8" at all times (use nail clippers to trim wicks where scissors won't fit). Keep candle free of wick trimmings & matches.

2. NEVER leave a burning candle unattended - even for a short time! If it's not within your eyesight, blow the flame out.

3. Keep burning candles away from children & pets.

4. Place candle on a heat resistant surface.

5. For safety's sake, do not allow the flame to touch the sides of the container. When the flame is in direct contact with the glass, the container could break. Extinguish candle, re-center the wick, allow to cool down, and re-lite.

6. You should never touch or move a candle container if the wax is liquid. Containers may become very hot, so handle with care!

7. Discontinue burning any candle when 1/2" of wax remains.

CANDLE BURNING HINTS

The first time you burn your candle, you need to let it burn until it's achieved a 100% melt pool - when the entire top of the candle is liquid. This will ensure your candle burns properly all the way through. After that, the general rule is to burn your candle for one hour per inch in diameter of the candle.

To extinguish a candle with little or no smoking, use a candlesnuffer, dip the wick into the melt pool and then retrieve it.

If soot builds up inside the container, clean with glass cleaner or baby wipes. Allow to dry thoroughly before re-lighting.
